Dark, dancing figures rise from a field of red and violet, their forms loose and gestural, bodies bent mid-motion as if caught between walking and reaching. Above them, power lines stretch across a bruised, dusk-toned sky in tangled dark strokes wires crossing and doubling back, a mesh of connection strung over the scene below. The color underneath pulses hot, red bleeding into purple like heat rising off pavement at the end of a long day. There’s a rawness to how these figures are built no faces, no fixed detail, just movement rendered in urgent, dripping paint. Street Pole II captures that particular energy of a street at its most alive: bodies in motion, wires overhead holding the whole restless scene together, current running invisibly through everything.
